Faudesteuils
Faudesteuil is a stool designed for a carte blanche proposed by Design Parade Toulon to the winners of the previous year’s awards, as members of the jury. A transportable and collapsible throne, the stool embodies a certain idea of contemporary design. From the neogothic reinterpretation of the faudesteuil, to the Ancient Roman curule seat, its aluminium legs reminiscent of the stools of Roman senators, Faudesteuil is the result of a reworking of past forms, adapting to our times.
In a process of anamnestic exploration, the passementerie regains its original function of support, and is thereby reinstated in its structural role. Made in aluminium and hand-spun wool cord, Faudesteuil is the result of an exceptional collaboration with Atelier François Pouenat and the Declercq Passementiers workshops. A means of establishing an ambition: that of a collection guided by the excellence of master craftsmanship.
